Boeing Commercial Airplanes Engineering is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the role of Airplane Integration aligned to 737 MAX Development ALIT (Airplane Level Integration Team). This position will be located in Renton, WA.

This role will manage employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines. Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Program CPE (Chief Project Engineer) leading major initiatives and critical customer and regulatory facing projects.
  • Reporting to the Program ALIT (Airplane Level Integration Team) Leader and acts as CPE delegate when needed.
  • Assists, supports, and partners with CPE and ALIT Leader on resolution of: development and production technical issues.
  • Works with multiple adjacent business units and stakeholders.
  • Ensures seamless integration of Engineering to program and core functions.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 2+ years of management experience managing technical and/or engineering teams
  • Bachelors of Engineering degree (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in leading multi-functional teams to meet customer expectations on quality and schedule
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience leading large scale engineering projects
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience effectively communicating and influencing decision-making by internal and external management and senior level representatives

Summary pay range: $166,600 - $225,400
