Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Experienced Airplanes Systems Technical Designer Level 2/3 to be located in Renton, WA. The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing commercial aircraft 737 or new airplanes(s) that are currently in early development states. Main area of focus will be to interpret and develop design requirements based on technical data to ensure compliance to Boeing and FAA requirements. Assignments will provide an excellent opportunity to learn mechanical systems on the various platforms.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Renton, WA location.

Position Responsibilities:

This position is for the 737 Environmental Control Systems High Pressure Design team in Renton, WA.

Develops and maintains engineering product definition. Prepares design layouts and modifies existing designs. Develops engineering product definition. Develops statements of work, including design requirements, cost and schedule estimates. Coordinates and develops work transfer packages. Contributes to the integration of product definition across internal and external business partners to provide a functional end-product. Investigates and resolves moderately-complex manufacturing process, or engineering related issues. Verifies accuracy of engineering data produced by others.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Renton, WA location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Associate's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience working with CATIA V5
  • 3+ years of experience drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)?
  • 3+ years of experience in 3D CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms including at least two of the following: Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application (CATIA), Enterprise Innovation Interactive Application (ENOVIA) or Product Data Manager (PDM)?

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with tube routing and FT&A workbenches in CATIA V5.
  • Experience with ENOVIA and Siemens Teamcenter PLM platforms.
  • Experience managing CAD assemblies and respective geometry and Bill of Materials
  • 5+ Years of experience of proven technical experience in aerospace or other mechanical engineering industries
  • Familiarity with Model Based Engineering
  • Experience with Boeing 737, 767, 777 and 787 airplane programs

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range:

Associate (level 2): $47,000 - $84,000

Experienced (level 3): $56,000 - $100,000
