Warehouse Associate - Day Shift

JOB TITLE: WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE - DAY SHIFT FULL-TIME

Job Summary : The Warehouse Associate is an hourly, regular full-time position responsible for safely moving product within warehouses and assisting with the day-to-day logistical operations of the Terrapin Beer Company warehouse(s). The incumbent will report directly to the Warehouse Lead.

This position works a schedule of 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. and, as a condition of employment, is required to work a rotating weekend schedule that includes holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Operates and drives designated Company box truck(s) for the purpose of moving materials between warehouses.
  • Assists with conducting weekly physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
  • Under the direction of management, responsible for organizing finished goods in the warehouse in an organized and secure manner.
  • Responsible for the safe, accurate and careful handling of all materials and finished goods. Ensure accurate quantities when loading, unloading and preparing materials for shipment.
  • Stage materials accurately prior to loading and keep both warehouse & stock yards clean and free of hazards at all times.
  • Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. powered industrial trucks, hand trucks, hand tools, etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and efficiently. Must be certified to operate all Company powered industrial trucks and undergo yearly recertification by the Safety Director.
  • Observes equipment operation and notifies applicable management of any malfunctions and/or safety issues or concerns.
  • Must have strong communication skills conducive to working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Follow all Company policies and safety rules at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements :

The ideal candidate would have similar work experience in a warehouse/logistics setting with 1-2 years experience. Minimum completion of a high school education or GED.

Applicants, without an accommodation, must have the ability to frequently reach, twist, stoop, bend, crouch, stand and walk for 8-10 hour shifts. Applicants may be required to work overtime as necessary. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly and maneuver up to 180 lb. kegs.

As a condition of employment, this position does require availability to work weekends as directed to and applicants must be able to do so without an accommodation.

Applicants must be able to wear personal protective equipment and work in varying weather conditions that includes humidity and seasonal temperature changes.

Applicants, without an accommodation, must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and pallet jacks for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and efficiently. Applicants will be required to undergo yearly recertification by the Human Resources & Safety department.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and have a clean MVR background.
