Job Summary:

The Power Scheduler is responsible for submitting pertinent generator parameters and financial information to the respective Independent System Operators within applicable timelines and disseminating information back to customers in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Continuous compliance with the applicable market and operational rules
  • Interacts effectively with Day-Ahead Traders, Energy Managers, and customers to verify all submissions are made accurately and timely
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail to facilitate troubleshooting submission issues
  • Works well under pressure
  • Maintains strong computer skills and is proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office
  • Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
  • This position requires working ten hour shifts including weekends and holidays

Education/Experience/Skills

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering is beneficial, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to meet daily scheduling deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office required
  • Ability to prioritize assigned projects, multi-task, and confidently make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong customer service, time management, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills

Physical Demands:

The job will require sitting in an indoor office environment, the need to visually read various written materials including, but not limited to paper documents and computer monitors. The job may also require standing, bending, walking, lifting up to 10 lbs., carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, crouching, driving, and airline travel. The incumbent will have the ability to use standard office equipment such as PC, printer, telephone, calculator, and copy and fax machines. Travel required to meetings in other office buildings, including local and domestic.
