Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Main Target Summary
Manage sourcing of Tooling, spare parts
Support NPD, Migration, VA/VE capacity expansion activities related molding tool & stamping die.
Tooling Process optimization; Supplier introduction, development
Tooling spare parts RFQ, delivery, payment

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities
Commodity expert of tooling and spare parts in terms of commercial and technique
Commodity strategy deployment and execution on tooling and spare parts
Drive continuous improvement on existing supplier performance (cost, technique, delivery, service etc.,)
Support CTL, PJM, ME, and MDE on procurement activities such as contracting, quoting, delivery, quality during project development.
Identify and select strategic suppliers within the business unit and company's footprint / localization goals. Work with the supplier quality, engineering, and supply chain functions to develop these suppliers to support APL requirements.
Achieve critical annual procurement KPIs (Delivery, quality, productivity, Inventory, low cost localization, payment terms, VMI, lead-time reduction, others).
Support the TEOA-P initiatives and Star Level attainment
Assure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Provide timely and complete responses to various corporate, segment, business unit and functional support requirements

Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant
Educational Degree
Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical/Electronics/English/Management/International Trade is preferred.

Professional Experience (in what processes and function)
8 years of working experience in manufacturing and at least 5 years in procurement
Engineering background is a must.
