Job Overview

The core responsibility of the Quality Engineer is to ensure Quality on purchased components and supporting TE Manufacturing plants worldwide by implementing a robust containment action in the entire supply chain and start escalation if applicable. Using his / her knowledge on problem solving methodologies and technical expertise on the specific materials categories (Electronics & Mechatronics, Stamping, Injection Molding), working in close collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met. Contact person for TE customers, Customer service representatives and TE production plants for quality matters.

What your background should look like:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial/quality engineering, or related field

- Proven experience in the automotive environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance.
- Fluency in Czech, English, any other foreign language is a plus

- Knowledge of APQP elements (e.g., 8D, SPC, Capability Analysis, MSA, and FMEA, CP, PPAP, Safe Launch, CSL) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean)

- Strong teamwork and coordination skills, capable of collaborating effectively within diverse teams

- Practical and results-oriented, high sense of urgency, assertive communication

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
- Align with TE strategy map and Quality Policy, focusing on Extraordinary Customer Experience.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate on integrating specific customer requirements into internal systems and processes.
- Provide support to improve internal KPI (e.g. COPQ, CPS, etc.).
- Handle customer/supplier and intercompany complaints through SAP, TECHS and customer portals.
- Communicate with customers regarding complaints, presenting root cause analyses and corrective actions.

- Prepare 8D reports, conduct root cause analyses, define corrective actions, and verify their effectiveness.
- Prepare production documentation, including Quality Inspection Plans, Failure Catalogs, Quality alerts etc.

- Hold the authority to halt Shipment and production in the event of quality issues.
- Travel to customers/suppliers if required.
