Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

The product manager is expected to own part of business P/L on specific product lines within APAC region. She/He is highly expected to proactively set up growth strategy for the product lines under his/her ownership, implement the plan that aligned with cross functional leadership, and monitor the result to make sure business growth achievement. The people on this position shall be highly self-discipline and self-motivated, and be able to work as a team in the organization.

The job responsibility would be described as but not limited to below items
Market Sensing & Strategy Development
• Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends and competitive landscape, tell the organization "how to win"
• Product Portfolio management, put together product develop roadmaps that align with business strategy and improve the competitiveness for the in charging product lines.
• Implement Business strategy, working in diversified business model and keep high interest on new areas and applications.
• Go to market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships.
• Work with cross functional team closely in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements.
• Manage the product lifecycle.
Develop Business Plan under Guide
• Set up aggressive goal to grow the business of the product lines in charge and get alignment with the team on the path to achieve the target
• Work cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks.
• Establish pricing policy.
• Develop the annual operating plan, be able to manage resources to make sure the plan implemented successfully
Execution - New Product Development & Launch
• Be the opportunity champion for PAC projects.
• Plans product launches including the development of marketing and sales plans.
• Provides demand forecast inputs to S&OP.
• Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business.
• Exercise through leadership.
• Provide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerce.
Execution - Post Launch Product Management
• Deliver sustained profitable growth.
• Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.
• Manage special price requests.
• Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps.
• Be the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.).

Key Success Factors
Meet AOP targets on the following KPI's
• Sales
• Market Share
• Gross (or standard) Margin $ and %
• Delivery (Ship-To-Request)
• Manage new product introductions on time and within budget
• Cost reduction targets
• NPS target, and NPS Sales of new products 1 and 3 years post launch
Candidate Qualification
• Bachelor degree or above
• MNC working experience preferred
• 4+ years experience in business environment, product management or product marketing function would be a strong advantage
• Fluent Chinese and English writing/speaking capability
• Good presentation skill, both oral and written
• Team working spirit, able to work under pressure and challenge
• 10~25% of working time travelling required
