Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Facilities Team conduct facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance activities, repairs, and assistance to maintain the operation of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and compressed air systems. Including other tasks that may be assigned to him/her in the most efficient and workmanlike manner. Responsible for maintaining the quality and quantity of work to acceptable company standards and in accordance with established policies.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Lead Technician or Crew Leader.
  • Performs or assists in maintenance and repair of plumbing, electric, mechanical, HVAC systems, and other general maintenance work as required.
  • Responds to immediate calls as required.
  • Perform preventive maintenance work in its entirety, complete or schedule repairs as needed, and maintain the necessary records consistent with the maintenance tracking system.
  • Repair or report to the supervision any defective equipment in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Keep accurate daily and bi-weekly time sheets. Ensure all internal paperwork is routed through the accounting system properly.
  • Make sure responsible work areas and mechanical equipment rooms are kept clean.
  • Assure high work standards as a Facilities Craft Services representative.
  • Participate actively in training programs to develop expertise in technologies and systems in areas of responsibility.
  • Safety Duties:
    • Ensure safe working conditions are being maintained in areas under his/her care.
    • Report safety violations to the supervisor.
    • Ensure SDS sheets are properly maintained and available for review.
    • Trucks and equipment assigned to him are properly maintained and tools accounted for.
    • All company-issued PPE equipment and uniforms are maintained to manufactures and company recommendations. Employee shall report any problems to PPE equipment that would hinder his/her from safely performing any assigned job task.
    • Follow all Tyco Electronics Contractor Safety and Environmental Safety programs. This includes Facilities Craft Services and other plants programs.

What your background should look like:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 5 years experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
  • HVAC certification is preferred but not required at the date of hire.
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of compressed air systems a plus
  • Must be willing to further their skill sets through classes or field training.
  • Current state-issued Drivers License.
  • Good verbal communication skills and customer service skills.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $46,100 - $69,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
