FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES: MGR II EH&S

We are currently seeking a highly motivated EH&S manager II to join the Manufacturing Team

Additional responsibilities:

  • Permanently comply with the applicable legislation on Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Implementation and control of corporate programs related with EHS
  • Verify the employee's safe work conditions.
  • Maintain the official regulation documentation updating and available and identify available safety technology for the plant. Audit and coordination of the chemical warehouse controls.
  • Lookup for chemical materials that have no potential impact on the employee's health. Suppliers' evaluation related to services, safety, or environmental issues.
  • Supervise the proper application systems and programs related to the safety, health, and environmental control of direct reports. Follow up and supervision to comply with the EHS indicator.
  • Establish the Environmental Health, Safety, and Hygiene Control goals for every one of the team and follow up the accomplishment.
  • Identification and control of risks in plant operations (Physical and Environmental).
  • Maintain the official regulation documentation updating and available and identify available safety technology for the plant. Audit and coordination of the chemical warehouse controls
  • Promotion and Implementation of campaigns focused on occupational health.
  • Supervision of the control of comprehensive waste management.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering or similar degree.
  • 10+ years of Manufacturing Experience in Core Processes (molding, assembly, plating and stamping, Aerospace industry desirable)
  • Experience on handling hazardous waste, recycling, and energy savings.
  • Strong knowledge on Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and International Traffic in Arms
  • Strong Knowledge on state and federal regulations (STPS, PROFEPA, SEMARNAT, CEDES, etc.
  • Familiar with ITAR Certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
