Job Description:

The Strategic & Editorial Content (SEC) Group is TD Wealth's content centre of excellence, responsible for developing editorial, strategic and technical content that highlights the depth and breadth of TD Wealth expertise and showcases our thought leadership to TD clients and the world. The team is comprised of talented content professionals who bring together their editorial, production, creative and technical expertise to create industry-leading financial content across digital and broadcast streams. SEC properties include: MoneyTalk "Brought to you by TD," available at www.moneytalkgo.com and distributed across multiple TD ecosystems, MoneyTalk Live, streamed daily through TD WebBroker, and MoneyTalk on BNN Bloomberg, broadcast weekly on CTV properties, as well as live and original programming on multiple radio stations and various social channels each week.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Wealth Planning Technical Content Manager to own, impact and influence the content strategy for the Wealth Planning Office (WPO). The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Canadian tax, estate planning, legislative and policy changes, and the ability to distill complex legal documents into a library of technical content for Wealth Advisors, Wealth Clients, ONE TD clients, TD prospects, and the public. The WPO provides strategic insights and comprehensive wealth planning services to TD Wealth clients and manages an external-facing content library to empower advisors and clients with credible real-time insights.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and manage a real-time content engine and an external-facing content publishing calendar for the WPO
  • Work with and manage a team of SME stakeholders to ensure WPO content aligns with Wealth business priorities, and is accurate, timely, and reflective of recent legislative updates
  • Develop templated systems for the creation, review, and audit of the content catalog.
  • Plan, edit, review, and oversee publication of a high volume of real-time content on technical topics related to Wealth Planning, including tax planning, registered savings accounts, pension management, business ownership and succession, and private trust administration
  • Collaborate with internal partners in TD's Wealth Planning Office and graphics and creative services teams to deliver accurate, relevant, and thoughtful content from quarterly planning to completion

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish quarterly and annual content calendars of new and revised reports, and liaise between the WPO and SEC editorial team to drive content creation aligned with WPO directives
  • Utilize templated graphic solutions with support from SEC Creative Services to ensure consistency and efficient approvals for timely articles and infographics•
  • Monitor Wealth Management industry sources for legal updates and policy changes that could impact published content
  • Work with content management tools (WordPress, Sprinklr, etc.) to support the publishing process and ensure content accuracy and appeal in public-facing and internal TD channels
  • Understand and manage control guardrails in a regulated environment (legal, compliance, branding)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of experience in business or wealth planning and finance, with one or more associated designations (e.g., CFP, JD/LLB, CPA CA, TEP)
  • Exceptional knowledge of wealth planning topics and experience working with Advisory bodies in a financial institution or similar role
  • Proficiency with structured content and familiarity with current and emerging publishing trends and platforms, which could include Adobe Creative Cloud and other content publishing solutions (WordPress)
  • Project management experience and proficiency in creating content from complex technical and legislative documents
