Job Description:
The main responsibility of Wealth Operations Analyst l (Institutional Operations) is to provide a high level of service and professionalism to the Institutional clients and our internal Portfolio Managers. Ability to work within strict deadlines, strong problem-solving skills, initiative, attention to detail and the ability to make a strong contribution to the team are keys to success. Proven interpersonal skills are essential to maintain, manage and expand relationships with the TDAM Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Product and Operations and other servicing staff to provide support with respect to models and funds for TDAM, Institutional and TD Wealth. Experience in an investment environment and understanding of basic accounting principles is preferred.
Job Requirements:
Specific to Institutional clients and internal clients, The Wealth Operations Analyst l is responsible for:
- Compiling mutual fund trades for transfer to and execution by Wealth Management Operations
- Accurate & timely recording of client instructions in appropriate internal system (i.e. meet deadlines; be flexible in adjusting to changing work priorities)
- Prompt and thorough resolution of all client and process issues
- Responsible for Inbox management of shared e-mailboxes and providing timely responses to / execution of: cash request messages, manual mutual fund orders, new account setups, account closures, account transfers and general inquires
- Responsible for general portfolio administration, including monitoring of rebalancing of portfolios as required
- Provide required daily/monthly/weekly reporting to various business partners and custodians, both internal and external and maintain internal databases to track portfolio transactions and trading
- Participate in Audits (Financial Statements, Internal, etc.)
- Participate fully as a member of the team; contribute to a positive work environment, TD Pulse results /action plan
- Provide support and back up as required across the Portfolio Administration and Operations team.
- Set up, authorization, maintenance and reconciliation of payments and templates in Web Banking and ensuring that the payments are sent off by cut off time.
- Review existing processes and procedures to improve workflow and efficiency. Update procedure notes to include changes to processes.
- Risk Mitigation and prompt completion of Error reports, escalating issues that could impact the business
