As a cross functional process analyst, conduct research, analysis and reporting on a range of operational and service issues. Execute on critical projects and strategic special initiatives within a defined functional area that may require broader partnership across TDS and/or other TD enterprise functions. Enhance management decision making on policies, processes, products and services based on insights generated from analytics and reporting to advance the operating model / processes and elevate service quality. Facilitate the implementation of policies/processes and/or initiatives to meet functional objectives.
The individual will work in a team to:
- Develop technology solutions for the Middle Office space within TDS Operations, transforming the area to a more data-driven technology focused area of the bank
- Dive into large amounts of data to extract information, gain insight to present within various reports and presentations.
- Develop and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports to monitor and analyze performance to support Middle Office business objectives.
- Collaborate with multiple Middle Office teams to develop solutions their businesses can leverage (ex. Prime Services, Fixed Income, Equities)
- Create and maintain key metric reports tailored for Middle Office.
- New business onboarding and scaling of solutions that are developed
- Identify opportunities to enhance technology and automation in the Middle Office space, through the collection and consolidation of data-driven analytics.
- Effectively communicate findings and insights to internal team members in a professional, concise, and easy-to-understand way.
- Assist with creation and maintenance of business level documentation
- Contribute to a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
- Establish a strong culture of commitment and ownership within the team.
- Demonstrate TD Framework and shared commitments in daily activities.
Qualifications:
- Expertise with small tech applications (ex. Python, UiPath, Tableau) and project management tools (ex. Confluence, Jira)
- Knowledge of data governance/data management practices, enterprise data policy, standards &strategy
- Knowledge of LOB data strategy, data risk management, and data life cycle management
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
- Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
- Strong ability to develop scripts using Python
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Ability to work in various roles within the team (Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Developer, Tester)
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
- Ability to lead and deliver projects from start to end (requirements gathering to delivery handoff to business)
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership
Education/Experience:
- Undergraduate degree
- 3-5+ years relevant experience and/or post-graduate and/or certifications
