The Strategic & Editorial Content (SEC) Group is TD Wealth's content centre of excellence, responsible for developing editorial, strategic, and technical content that highlights the depth and breadth of TD Wealth expertise and showcases our thought leadership to TD clients and the world. The team is comprised of talented content professionals who bring together their editorial, production, creative and technical expertise to create industry-leading financial content across digital and broadcast streams. SEC properties include: MoneyTalk "Brought to you by TD," available at www.moneytalkgo.com and distributed across multiple TD ecosystems, MoneyTalk Live, streamed daily through TD WebBroker, and MoneyTalk on BNN Bloomberg, broadcast weekly on CTV properties, as well as live and original programming on multiple radio stations and various social channels each week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operations Floater to facilitate control room support roles including, audio, camera, floor directing, and live switching and direction of multiple productions across various platforms. This role will also edit daily content using Adobe Premiere Pro and is responsible for publishing content to our various platforms. This role requires strong technical proficiency with various production equipment, and a strong working knowledge of editing. You can coordinate seamlessly with production staff, and the confidence to make quick, creative decisions in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for visual storytelling, a calm and focused demeanor under pressure, and experience in operational roles with studio productions and editing from start to finish.

Core Responsibilities

  • Be able to shoot and edit under tight timelines
  • Operate multiple control room cameras and audio mixing for live and live to tape video shoots
  • Act as backup for the Director / Switcher to provide relief and fill in during vacations
  • Publish to client-facing digital platforms (Word Press-based CMS)
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and keep current with emerging strategies, capabilities and/or trends for multimedia solutions.
  • Actively work to resolve escalated issues and manage changes within the project

You are:

  • Experienced in all areas of a studio control room and creative/technical aspects of show production
  • Experienced in floor management, camera placement, presentation, audio mixing, and LED video wall displays
  • A multi-tasker and able to deal with intense pressure of a live show
  • Comfortable with very tight timelines
  • Able to troubleshoot a high-tech environment.
  • Able to work well with others and as a strong team member
  • Able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
  • Able to support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues
  • Happy to assist others in the completion and performance of work activities

Core Skills:

  • 3+ years of broadcast / newsroom experience (expert knowledge in camera, audio, floor directing, and lighting)
  • Video editing (news, breaking, social) - expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud: Premiere Pro
  • VizRT ecosystem operator (Vectar, Multiplay, Trio and Pilot)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organization skills
  • College Diploma in Television Broadcasting or similar Multimedia post-secondary education
  • Short Term Assignment - 12 months
