Job Description:
Job Profile Summary
The Head of the TDS North American Experienced Talent Acquisition leads the execution, management, and overall performance of experienced hire recruitment in America and Canada. They will personally handle a selection of senior roles, as well as manage local recruiters in the USA and Canada, and will be ultimately responsible for all experienced hiring in North America.
As the Head of North American Experience Talent Acquisition for TDS, they will work closely with the HR Business Partners, the TDS USA and Canadian Leadership teams, and business stakeholders. This person will be a champion of Inclusion and Diversity recruitment for both Canada and the USA. This person will be responsible for training and supporting recruiters on the team, and acting as team leader.
Depth & Scope:
- Responsible for all aspects of experienced hire recruitment for TDS in both Canada and the USA
- Lead both the Canadian and American Experienced Hire teams effectively
- Provide oversight to NA Recruitment Teams, ensuring operational excellence, compliance with process and policies, and general execution of day-to-day recruiter activities
- Considered a subject matter expert on wholesale banking recruitment in North America
- Focuses on short, medium and long term solutions for the team
- Team is responsible for full life cycle of experience hire recruitment across the TDS footprint (inclusive of non-front office) in Canada and the US
- Undertake and complete a variety of projects and initiatives, may include the integration of cross functional processes
- Responsible for maintaining standard training and certification (where appropriate) for all recruiters on the team
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree
- 10-15 years related experience, either all in-house or a mix of in-house and agency experience
- Demonstrated exceptional team leadership skills, both in person and remotely (across border preferred)
- Highly detail oriented, with experience in analyzing, parsing and presenting data
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in the evolution of the recruitment discipline - inclusive of technology, data, AI, and regulatory governance
- Demonstrated experience in capturing data and creating/analyzing meaningful reports
- Extensive knowledge of recruiting and employment practices
- Knowledge of employment laws across the TD footprint
- Proven ability to develop optimal relationships with senior and executive stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and facilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain business partnerships
- Deep expertise (expert!) in recruiting for senior and executive level roles
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proven ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and assignments using sound business judgment
