Department Overview :

TD is on a journey to compete more effectively in the Professional Banking Segment. To win and reach our vision, we have built a cross-enterprise effort that include TD Branch Banking, Business Banking and Wealth with a long term operating plan to enhance our capabilities with this critical customer segment.

This initiative has included detailed market analysis and customer research, as well as reviews of our product offerings, sales effectiveness, and referral processes. Job Description :

The Regional Manager Professional Banking reports to the National Manager Professional Banking and will be accountable for external proactive business development, internal partner engagement, ongoing training and advisory support, and ultimately driving business results for the Professional Banking Segment. The successful candidate will cover the Pacific Region located across British Columbia with regular market presence required throughout.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead the evolution of the Healthcare and Business Professionals value proposition to ensure that TD Bankers provide a legendary experience to these clients and grow market-share in the Professional Banking Segment.
  • Identify gaps in our product and service offering to build the roadmap of continued improvement to the offer.
  • Grow both the Healthcare and Business Professional sub-segments, by raising TD's profile within universities, medical and professional associations and the broader industries.
  • Have a strong understanding of TD businesses, core strategies, and tactics to deliver growth within our risk appetite.
  • Support the development of Marketing materials and content aimed at Healthcare professionals.
  • Work with the Branches, Small Business Banking and Commercial Centres to ensure the smooth submission of credit application and adjudication.
  • Accountable for building and maintaining relationships with industry COI's, customers, wealth professionals, business and personal bankers.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for sales leadership and education to drive performance in this important segment.

Key Metrics/Indicators of Success may include:

  • Professional banking market presence, customer/relationship management, credit underwriting/adjudicating, both internally and externally.
  • Business acquisition, relationship deepening, deal analysis.
  • Internal education development and delivery, impact and influence through indirect leadership.
  • Driving client experience improvements.

Job Requirements :

  • Excellent business development skills
  • Relationship management of key partners and executives across Business Banking, Wealth and the Enterprise.
  • Strong knowledge of TD Business Banking and or the Enterprise and good understanding of the competitive environment in Canada.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization; able to clearly articulate and partake in positive and constructive discussions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of impact and influence, negotiation and collaboration among multiple and diverse business partners
  • Proven track record of delivering results and executing with excellence.
  • The ability to create and implement plans with partners and follow through with strong execution.
  • Excellent analytical skills with superior data analysis skills and credit acumen.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Salesforce (BBHub) and Canva considered an asset.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Experience with both virtual (Webex and/or webinar) and in-person presentation creation and delivery considered an asset.
  • Strong impact and influencing capabilities, a collaborative style, good understanding of business objectives and strong self-motivation.
  • Commercial Banking experience considered an asset.
  • Experience with the Healthcare segment considered an asset
  • MBA or equivalent considered an asset.
