Job Description:

As part of Marketing's MBNA Credit Cards Team, the Marketing Manager will lead the strategic planning and digital always-on acquisition for the MBNA Credit Card portfolio. The role will focus on driving consideration and acquisition through owned and paid channels, ensuring all marketing tactics are delivering profitable growth and demonstrating the value of marketing through results. The Marketing Manager will also be the day-to-day marketing lead on a complex project currently under an NDA.Operating in Agile Framework as a Pod Owner, the Marketing Manager partners with key stakeholders to deliver complex consumer acquisition across digital properties (owned and paid).

The Marketing Manager is accountable for independently developing, implementing and leading cross-functional strategy planning to support complex Marketing portfolios. This position will work closely with the line of business and members of the Marketing team to develop marketing strategies and plans; understand market and growth drivers as well as grow value propositions and proof points that further our competitive advantage and translate business strategies into marketing plans.

  • Marketing Strategies and Plans: Understand market and growth drivers, develop a vision of market, channel, and segment potential, help to develop value propositions and proof points that further our competitive advantage, and translate business strategies into marketing plans.
  • Deliver and Monitor Results: Ensure stated objectives are delivered on plan and analyzes past results and makes recommendations to maximize ROI. Evaluate effectiveness of in-market activity and effectively communicate the results.
  • Consumer Insights and Trends: Leverage market research and apply customer insights to marketing campaigns/programs. Interpret the industry environment, recommend a course of action and best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • Influencing and relationship management: Build and manage strong relationships with agencies, business units, marketing partners, legal and compliance and other internal teams to deliver effective marketing programs.
  • Analysis and Problem Solving: Help to define the problem to solve, engage stakeholders from different groups to gather data and draw insights from it. Leverage data combined with judgment and intuition to make recommendations and drive action.
  • Budget and Project Management: Manage projects in the most effective way (on time, on target, on budget) from initiation to completion. Lead multi-functional teams and agency partners through the project. Track and manage budget against plan, meeting all financial reporting requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, designations, or equivalent required.
  • Over 7 years of relevant Marketing experience
  • Experience leading product marketing strategy in similar industry.
  • Digital experience strategy and execution is ideal.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple marketing principles and disciplines, strategy development, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, and product/customer markets and proven ability to drive business results.
  • Innovative, customer-obsessed mindset with strong financial acumen to advocate for customer advice and experience.
  • A self-motivator with excellent organizational and communications skills to influence, prioritize and multi-task in a collaborative or independent setting.
  • Experienced in relationship management, work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions including agency and internal partners.
