Job Description:

Managed Solutions play an important role within TD Private Wealth Management's investment management offering. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Managed Solutions the Manager, Managed Solutions, will work alongside a team of product, pricing, and support professionals responsible for strategy development, project planning, delivery, and change management, to drive growth and evolution of TD's managed account programs.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Act as a leader and subject matter expert on discretionary and non-discretionary managed accounts, supporting acquisition and growth of scalable, process-driven investment management practices and efficient portfolio implementation
  • Contribute to program strategy and management for TD Private Investment Advice (PIA) Unified Managed Accounts, Privately Managed Portfolios, and Strategic Managed Portfolios, including the strategic direction and oversight of investment solutions within these programs
  • Formulate analysis and generate insights that identify opportunities to enhance and evolve managed account programs spanning technology capabilities, product offering, process efficiency, and marketing/support model
  • Proactively engage with advisory practices, national office and operational teams, and technology delivery partners to manage and advance development roadmaps, ensuring solutions meet client, advisor, and business needs in a cost-effective and market-relevant manner
  • Lead development of quantitative modelling, financial and data analysis, and competitive intelligence/industry insights monitoring to provide fact-based recommendations and business decision-support
  • Support development and delivery of executive presentations to communicate program strategy, platform capability roadmaps, and business and industry insights
  • Support resolution of inbound platform/program inquiries from the field, collaborating with business partners and colleagues on the Pricing & Managed Solutions team
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and foster proactive and productive relationships with Wealth partners, including channel and support partners in National Office, Operations, TDAM, etc.
  • Participate fully and actively as a leader within the Managed Solutions team and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive, and caring culture and working environment
  • The selected candidate will also be required to work on special projects and ad hoc tasks and initiatives as they arise

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of related wealth management or investment industry experience (portfolio management, channel/distribution, strategy and finance, business architecture functions)
  • Undergraduate or post-graduate degree in business/commerce, finance or related discipline; CFA, CIM, or other financial designations or accreditations considered an asse
  • Expert knowledge of financial markets and understanding of investment products and portfolio management practices
  • Prior experience working with advisors, portfolio managers, product manufacturers, and distribution partners is considered an asset
  • Prior experience working with portfolio management and trade management applications (e.g. Wealth360, Envestnet, Croesus, etc.) is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and structured thinking; ability to break down complex topics and consolidate granular information into concise and meaningful summaries
  • Exceptional communication in writing and speaking, presentation development and delivery, and proficiency coordinating and partnering with various stakeholders to advance work
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time, contributing as part of a team and independently to complete work items
