Job Description:

TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering progressive investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. For over two decades, the organization has established competitive market positions in active, quantitative, and passive portfolio management. As of March 31, 2025 TDAM and its affiliates manage over $468 billion in assets on behalf of pension, insurance, endowment/foundation, and corporate clients, as well as high-net worth clients and retail mutual funds.

In attaining this client commitment, TDAM has built one of Canada's largest and most respected investment management and research teams with more than 220 Portfolio Managers, Associate Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Management, this role develops and supports TD Asset Management's (TDAM) Employee Engagement programs and events by providing engaging and informative communications and inclusive employee engagement program design. This role is focused on advancing employee engagement with a particular emphasis on projects that strengthen inclusion, belonging, and cultural engagement.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, communicate and implement Employee Engagement strategies that deliver programs, tools, resources, and experiences to deepen colleague engagement
  • Develop, communicate and implement a holistic strategy for Employee Engagement event planning function in support of, and integrated with, the overall business strategy
  • Oversee/lead/manage/deliver Employee Engagement programs and events that require alignment across multiple areas
  • Act as a strategic partner by leading relationships with key TDAM, Wealth, and Enterprise partners and respective leadership teams to effectively manage colleague experience programs
  • Recognize and anticipate emerging trends and identify issues, opportunities, and recommend action to senior management
  • Ensure integrated and aggregated view of all related activities across the overall function providing escalations, recommendations, and decision support to leadership
  • Provide functional / business level communications on colleague experience planning activities to ensure messages to stakeholders and /or internal / external partners are consistent, appropriate and aligned to business strategies and management direction

  • Work closely with key business leaders to develop business plans, ensuring the optimal use of resources and leverage TD's operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scale
  • Plan and execute strategic activities, review and communicate results, and adjust tactics accordingly
  • Proactively identify opportunities, research and recommend enhancements / modifications, develop strategies to achieve recommendations and work closely with team to execute and implement
  • Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies, programs, and practices related to own area of expertise
  • Protect the interests of the organization - identify and manage risks, and escalate nonstandard, high-risk transactions / activities as necessary
  • Follow emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable about industry best-practices, internal policies and expectations, and team responsibilities/accountabilities; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Experience (7+ years) within Employee Engagement, Colleague Experience, and end - to - end corporate event planning and delivery.
  • Excellent relationship building, and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with experience facilitating meetings.
  • Organizationally astute, with superior influencing, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, analysis, and requirements gathering.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Consistently demonstrates ownership and commitment.
  • Proven record of delivering results and commitment to operational and service excellence.
  • The ability to influence, prioritize and multi-task in a collaborative or independent setting.
  • Ability to understand the unique challenges within each LOB and taking this into consideration when supporting the introduction of new processes or ways of working.
