Job Description:

TD Securities is a global business and includes Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Markets, Research, Infrastructure and Support & Control Functions. TDS HR team is also global and is located in Canada, US, Europe and Asia Pacific. The TDS HR Coordinator role is located in Canada but will be providing North American support to the TD Securities businesses and TDS HR colleagues. HR Coordinator plays a critical role in providing broad range of operational process support and performs general to specialized transactions and/or other processing activities to support the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

CUSTOMER

  • Provide a high level of administrative support ensuring quality service and professionalism at every interaction
  • Manage efficiently in a multi-tasked environment and ensure deadlines are met
  • Apply appropriate due diligence ensuring accuracy in preparing and promptly completing all required supporting documentation (reports, presentations, invoices, communications, tables, charts, files, etc.)
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality; raise issues where appropriate
  • Perform diverse range of tasks that involve a range of complexity with autonomy and some discretion to make decisions within well-defined parameters
  • Process various transactions accurately, on time and in line with established guidelines/procedures
  • Refer or escalate processing or operational issues where necessary to ensure a high level of service
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and support process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain working relationships with external and internal partners including responding to questions and/or concerns in an effective and timely manner

ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS

  • Manage and complete Workday transactions, PeopleSoft and other HR related systems:
  • Create job requisitions, record job changes such as lateral moves, promotions and restructures
  • Create or modify supervisory organizations; update and maintain current organization charts
  • Update compensation base salary change and input one-time payments requests
  • Coordinate with HR Business Solutions team for Performance reassignment/delegation
  • PSAS & Equipment - access to building, laptop transfers (if applicable), telephone (if applicable)
  • System Access - Workday, PeopleSoft, Shared Drive, Pulse, Dart, Tableau, Talent Portal
  • Maintain distribution lists for team
  • Complete Enterprise Data Lifecycle Management activities and requirements
  • Manage and respond to HR related inquiries
  • Serve as a contact to provide employment verification letters

SHAREHOLDER

  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
  • Follow internal and industry regulations and operating practices in completing and recording transactions for either the organization or clients
  • Escalate non-standard or high-risk transactions or other activities as deemed appropriate
  • Adhere to standardized documentation procedures
  • Update and contribute to the preparation of procedural documents in support of day-to-day operations
  • Be knowledgeable and/or aware of industry developments from a HR perspective for own area

  • Participate fully as a team member, promote team effectiveness, and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team
  • Keep others informed and up to date about the status/progress of all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Require advanced skills and expertise and performs multiple and/or diverse tasks that are highly complex, involving multiple steps, systems, and jurisdictions
  • Handle 1st level escalated issues and provides work guidance and direction or acts as a working team lead and resource to others
  • Accountable for resolving exceptions, nonstandard issues / transactions and/or escalating to appropriate level where further clarity or interpretation of more complex policies or rules is required
  • Generally, interact with internal and / or external partners
  • Focus of work is weekly, monthly and/or longer with addition of ad-hoc and initiative-based requests, as required
  • Require solid knowledge of the business unit and operational functions for the business area supported

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High School diploma
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • 1+ years relevant experience
  • Workday experience is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Workday and other HR related information and technology solutions
