Job Description:
Corporate and Public Affairs (CAPA) delivers best-in-class communications to elevate TD's brand and build meaningful connections with our clients, communities, and colleagues. We inspire conversations, foster advocacy, and create content that enriches lives while driving business impact.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and creative communicator to shape the voice of TD's award-winning AI research and development center, Layer 6. In this role, you'll craft compelling content that showcases our leadership in AI-across social, digital, and traditional channels-and help bring our innovation story to life.
What You'll Do
Lead Social & Digital Presence
- Drive the content strategy for Layer 6's LinkedIn page and website, curating and amplifying engaging, timely, and relevant content.
- Manage organic and paid campaigns to boost brand awareness and audience engagement.
Create Thought Leadership & Technical Content
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product leaders to translate complex AI concepts into clear, compelling content (white papers, guides, research reports).
- Support the development of thought leadership pieces that showcase TD's AI expertise.
Shape Internal & External Communications
- Craft high-impact communications for executives, media, and employees, including speeches, internal memos, articles, videos, FAQs, and briefing materials.
- Identify the right storytelling tools and channels to engage diverse audiences across geographies.
Website Management
- Manage and drive development of layer6.ai website as an important reflection of the identity of the group.
- Work with vendor to make needed updates, including content build out (create and manage approvals and publishing), and implement governance and compliance standards including AODA compliance.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in corporate communications, journalism, or agency roles, with a proven ability to tell complex stories simply.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for both long- and short-form content.
- Experience creating technical and thought leadership materials, ideally in AI, tech, or innovation sectors.
- Strategic mindset with deep understanding of social platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram) and emerging content trends.
- Ability to advise and influence senior leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Undergraduate degree in communications, PR, marketing, or related field; bilingualism
- (English/French) is an asset.
