Department Overview

The TD Bank Group Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) Department is responsible for establishing Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) program to ensure that all TDBFG businesses remain compliant with AML/ATF regulatory expectations in all jurisdictions where TDBFG operates. The mandate is to manage business administration functions, first line of support of core AML applications, contribute to the enhancement of existing AML Applications through delivery of scheduled Maintenance Releases and Segment Partner projects, and advance innovation through process improvement and automation frameworks.

Job Details

We are seeking a technical Business Analyst to join our team. Responsibilities include delivering business requirements and business test planning, preparation, and execution on a broad range of projects varying in risk, size and complexity while aligning to business strategies. For this role, testing and deep dive analysis is heavily reliant on running SQL scripts.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in Oracle SQL, SAS, VBA and demonstrate hands-on experience in analytics.
  • Lead projects independently and successfully deliver on requirement, test using SQL, deliver on artifacts, and obtain signoffs from stakeholders on a timely manner.
  • Expert knowledge of AML transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, name screening.
  • Ability to perform deep dive investigations and drive recommendations/findings.
  • Strong ownership mentality and can-do attitude
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills accompanied by strong business acumen with ability to engage senior audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills able to influence and manage a very diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Flexible and resilience to execute in an agile environment, including the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Deliver accuracy.
  • Acute attention to detail while moving at a fast pace.
  • Demonstrate analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Office: Excel (including pivot tables, charts, and graphics) and PowerPoint.
  • Assess, identify, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to conduct analysis on big data and derive sound recommendations.
  • Manage escalations appropriately and promptly.
  • Proficiency in Selenium, or other automation tool, is an asset.

Additional Information

  • Seven (7) or more years of related business analysis experience such as quality assurance
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field, e.g.: Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Science
