Job Description:
The AVP Project Delivery Lead - TDS is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of product(s) roadmap across all Business and Technology aspects of the program with a delivery operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scalability. In addition, the role builds and leads a large diverse business team to effectively deliver productivity, quality and innovation.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
- Primarily accountable for the end-to-end delivery of product(s) roadmap across all Business and Technology aspects of the program with a delivery operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and scalability
- Accountable for key delivery decisions and aligning technology and business objectives into a shared delivery vision
- Delivery decision includes assessment of multiple stakeholder impacts
- Facilitates the breaking down of Product Vision and Product Roadmap into component parts that can be executed through Rapid, TD Agile PDLC delivery approaches as appropriate
- Supports Executive Sponsor and Business Owner in structuring and securing approval for business case and funding
- Accountable for challenging program estimates and supporting the team in removing any roadblocks during the estimation process, in alignment with the Estimation Framework
- Establishes program governance structures for effective delivery orchestration, meeting TD's governance control objectives
- Responsible for executing the program/project across all domains in order to meet the stated success criteria and product(s) value realization, with explicit consideration to business process, change impacts and the transition from delivery to business as usual
- Accountable for establishing and executing processes and practices that support the appropriate project-level delivery framework (e.g. Rapid/TD Agile: cycle measurements, daily scrums, retrospectives, sprint planning, testing, MVP mapping to releases); (e.g. PDLC: requirements package, change management plan, testing plan, control processes for scope/requirements change)
- Establishes and manages resource plan, issues, risks and financial plans to support the roadmap
- Anticipates issues, trends and the potential impact and timely resolution of impediments, while effectively managing the program
- Schedules (releases) and financials, and ensures continuing review and prioritization
- Coordinates with the respective enterprise control partners (e.g., EPDE, Strategic Sourcing Group, Legal, TRMIS, OCDO, etc.) to appropriately select, engage and manage external service providers as required
- Builds and leads a large diverse business team to effectively deliver productivity, quality and innovation
Education & Experience:
- University Degree or equivalent; No specific field of study required
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or CSP designation preferred
- 10+ years of experience
- 5+ years of related experience
- Indisputable knowledge of program/project delivery methodologies (including PDLC and TD Agile scaling frameworks)
- Demonstrates planning and implementation experience
- Ability to apply industry frameworks and techniques
