Product Owner - Remote

Symetra has an exciting new opportunity to join us as a Product Owner supporting the implementation of the new modern login experience for our customers and partners!

About the role:

As a product owner, you will be a key member of the Symetra Login Experience scrum team working on identity and access management capabilities across the enterprise. The Product Owner will represent the realization of the business vision and priorities throughout the implementation and future capabilities of our new login platform.

What you'll do in this role

  • Partner with product manager to represent the product vision and business problems to be solved by the delivery team
  • Develop and maintain the 30/60/90-day plan and update regularly
  • Work with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and users to fully define requirements and communicate them to the agile team
  • Own, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, transforming business problem statements into well documented user stories
  • Write the acceptance criteria for each user story/feature, refine user stories, and accept completed stories
  • Work to remove impediments, participates in regular scrum team meetings and stand-ups, provides guidance and clarification on user stories
  • Possess and provide authoritative knowledge on system being developed and communicates impact of change to stakeholders
  • Ensure quality of features through facilitation and/or completion of user acceptance testing throughout the development process.
  • Work closely with stakeholders/program managers on change management activities and production support process and prioritization

Compensation

Salary Range: $ 88,600 - 120,000 plus eligibility for annual bonus programs

Requirements

Your experience and skills

  • Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst representing business needs and priorities to a technology team
  • Experience working as a member of an agile team on product execution
  • Ability to lead and influence interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Experience working with API based data integrations
  • Experience maintaining swagger or contract document between teams
  • Knowledge of Postman tool is a plus.
  • Ability to take abstract and ambiguous information and organize into meaningful facts for business partners to understand
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at communicating effectively with technical teams and business teams, as well as leadership
  • Strong negotiation and consensus building skills when dealing with internal customers, stakeholders and, team members
