About the role

Join our ServiceNow team as we continue to build and move the needle for Enterprise Service Management at Symetra. We're seeking a manager to help implement new modules, in addition to driving incremental improvements for the modules already in production (e.g., incident, service catalog). You will lead a tight-knit team in a rapidly growing area. You will also be responsible for technical standards and practices, solution architecture, and management of technical debt.

What you will do

  • Execute the short and long-term vision for the company's ServiceNow platform
  • Oversee the teams servicing the ServiceNow platform with members such as Developers & Analysts
  • Oversee the design and development of solutions based on the ServiceNow platform
  • Drive technology decisions, lead strategic relationships with technology and business partners, and influence roadmap agendas
  • Strong and engaging people manager with experience managing technology partners
  • A consultative technology partner that understands business needs and is solutions focused
  • Monitor and report on quality, risks and potential opportunities for improvement
  • Curious and passionate learner who has an architect mindset for sustainable end-to-end solutions

Compensation

Salary Range: $107,200-$178,700 plus eligibility for annual bonus program.

Requirements

Your experience and skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience with ServiceNow platform
  • 2 years management experience is required
  • Service Now certification/s is required
  • In-depth knowledge of IT Service Management
  • Proven experience in server, client-side scripting and REST API's
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented programming languages like: Python, JavaScript, Powershell, Go
  • Working understanding of Microsoft ecosystem: Windows Domain, Active Directory
  • Proven experience of E2E Workflow/Flow implementation with ServiceNow
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and simultaneously organize work across multiple initiatives
  • A desire to make an impact as part of a high-growth, transformational team that is bold, relentless, curious, and collaborative
  • Strong stakeholder management skills are essential
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning and task management skills
  • Proficient in agile/scrum practices
