SUSE Rancher Support Ops Engineer
Job Description

The award-winning SUSE Rancher Support team has attracted top talent from across the globe and continues to grow as a distributed team steeped in open-source culture. We are on a mission to support our customers innovate everywhere, with the power of Kubernetes and we help enterprises deliver Kubernetes-as-a-Service across any infrastructure.
The SUSE Rancher Support team is looking for smart and curious engineers to join us on this mission, where we are striving every day to raise the bar and redefine the category of open-source support. If you are someone who thrives on the challenge of investigating and solving problems across a variety of open-source technologies in the Kubernetes/CNCF universe, you will enjoy the role of SUSE Rancher Support Ops Engineer .
In this role you will be building new support tools which help our customers to identify their issues through proactive support.
This role will allow to work from home or one of our offices and w ork with a highly skilled and collaborative team. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Python (Django) and JavaScript (Vue.js), along with other relevant technologies.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement them.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and share knowledge.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the product to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
- Author and maintain technical documentation.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them in operations and activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, including experience with frameworks such as Django and Vue.js.
- Understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web service integration.
- Experience with version control tools, such as Git.
- Familiarity with shell scripting (bash)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Terraform is a plus.
- A professional can-do attitude to work under pressure on time-sensitive issues in a multi-tasking environment
