Certification Project Manager
Job Description
As a Certification Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to meaningfully impact how our organization scales by attaining certification compliance of SUSE products portfolio in accordance with industry production standards in security and conformance defined by worldwide established bodies such as ISO, NIST, BSI, PCI, as well as other national certification bodies. Join industry-leading professionals to ensure that our processes, infrastructure, and products are designed, operated, maintained and protected in accordance with these certifications and security standards as it applies to SUSE. This role reports to SUSE's Head of Solutions Certification and will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Pre-Sales and Marketing.
Summary:
Y ou are responsible for establishing and persistently maintaining certified production compliance status for portfolio of chosen SUSE products and their relevant certifications. You drive the design and implementation of corresponding compliance frameworks, define delivery milestones and track their progress.
Responsibilities:
- Driving certification cycles projects for our enterprise products and organization
- Defining milestones and tracking their progress
- Liaising common grounds across Engineering, PM, consultants, and partners
- C oordinating compliance requirements across different teams
- Organizing events and workshops necessary for relevant knowledge sharing
- Organizing cycle process documentation and keeping it in accurate up to date state
- Communicating with certification labs and authorities, primarily in Germany and the US
- Filing and tracking relevant application paperwork
- Communication with external and internal customers
- 5+ years of total experience in software product development industry
- Minimum 1 year of which in managing product and organization certification compliance to security, conformance, or safety standards from ISO, CCRA / Common Criteria, NIST / FIPS or other standardisation bodies
- Strong skills in process handling and documentation frameworks, such as MS/Open/Libre Office, Confluence/Jira, etc
- Good knowledge about certification bodies (e.g. BSI, NIST, NIAP, ANSSI) and their typical requirements
- Passion for organized paperwork and skills of keeping large sets of information pieces in systematic manner
- Project management level in GPM/PMP/IPMA (minimal 'D', 'C' or 'B' is a plus) or equivalent
- Excellent communication and 'soft' skills
- Excellent communication level of English (German language skills is a plus )
- Familiarity with Linux operating system
