The Demand Planner supports the monthly demand preparation & process with Japan & Southeast Asia (SEA) leadership team alignment to deliver the latest financial forecast for the current year + one fiscal year. The role holder also supports communication, deployment and continuous improvement of S&OP framework in Japan & SEA and the long-term transformation to the Integrated Business Planning in collaboration with APAC S&OP.
Role Responsibilities
Demand planning visibility & understanding for Japan
- Ensure the demand forecast are updated & accurate on rolling 18 to 24 horizon forecast with proper assumptions being documented
- Collect & support cross-functional alignment on the forecast, changes, challenges, R&O supported by market intelligence
- Work in collaboration with Japan S&OP lead to convey the trends identified through analytics to Business planning with follow up on actions (forecast change, R&O, plans/ intelligence to confirm the forecast)

- Ensure the demand files are updated & accurate
- Manage historical data clinics
- Reflect impact of commercial activities in the demand clinics
- Maintain forecast assumptions to drive forecast improvement
- Support the demand planning manager in the preparation of the demand clinic and demand review
- Prepare depletion analysis & templates
- Support visibility & understanding on innovation, packaging change, etc, and impact on the forecast and financials
- Participate to supply review between Japan team and S&OP to understand the gap between the V2V forecast & the replenishment forecast and support actions defined during the meeting to bridge both data
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in demand & supply planning, (Beer/Wine/Spirits) industry, beverage or FMCG
- Proficiency in Excel & SAP IBP-DP & HANA reporting
- Understanding of S&OP (5 steps) & IBP concepts
- Capability to support decision-making, determination of risks & opportunities and financial reconciliation
- Ability to engage with different stakeholders in Japan & SEA (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) to drive visibility and consensus
- Strong business acumen and understanding of Japan commercial business, Supply Chain planning & operations and financial management
- Display proactiveness & tenacity in resolving issues
