Channel Marketing Specialist (Fixed Term Contract)

The Channel Marketing Specialist is an integral part of the commercial team. This role will directly influence and bring to life to life the strategy & vision for Suntory Global Spirits brands. This role is responsible for the strategic development and execution of brand activation opportunities throughout the year, across the full Suntory Global Spirits RTD & FBS portfolio. This role will report into the Shopper Activation Manager and partner directly with the marketing and sales teams activate the strategic marketing direction of a portfolio.
This role will execute and support below the line and NPD initiatives across both On and Off Premise channels.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the local growth strategy, identifying market opportunities and key drivers (where to play, how to win) and align directly across both on and off premise.
- Assist with the annual marketing planning and budget planning process working closely with Shopper Activation Manager and Marketing team, to manage the timeline, inputs and deliverables back to the sales team for customer planning.
- Lead the collation and delivery of all activity through Activity In Market Process; communicate and manage all timelines, sharing & saving of all briefs (internally and with distributor).
- Manage the AIM evaluation timeline for both on & off channels.
- Execute Tracking across activations/programs.
- Lead the management of the Committed Spend and Hard Close Processes with internal team members Commercial Finance & distributor teams.
- Lead the Management of Activation folder and sharing of all On & Off Premise Customer Calendars with key stakeholders internally.
- Partner and influence Marketing and Sales teams and other internal partners on implementation of local activation plans, ensuring executional consistency against brand strategy.
- Participate in the NPD process - support with POS, product and other logistics for brand programs as required.Develop cross-channel assets with key internal stakeholders & agencies.
- Work closely with aligned agencies to deliver appropriate messaging, trade activation to shoppers.
- 2-3 years previous in consumer marketing and/or trade marketing experience
- Business or marketing degree qualified
- Liquor industry experience is valued but not essential
- Demonstrated strong project management and organisational skills to deliver excellence in execution
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)Understanding of Brand Strategy and how this translates into shopper activation and execution in-store and in bars
- Financial/Commercial Acumen (competency in Microsoft Suite)
