Overview

The Sr. PV System Design Engineering Analyst is responsible for ensuring all Design Vendors are

following design department policies and procedures, and that the Vendor Relations Specialists are coordinated and supported in this effort. This is a fast-paced yet detail-oriented position. Vendor Relations Team Leads are responsible for driving and leading day to day Design Vendor performance project pipeline between Design leadership and Vendors. Developing an understanding of structural and electrical engineering concepts and calculations is a necessity for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor vendor relations specialists
  • Responsible for vendor account escalations
  • Learn how to motivate and lead each vendor relations specialist on your team
  • Create and maintain a weekly vendor relations specialist schedule
  • Manage the vendor workflow with multiple vendors and execute on agreed-upon SLA
  • Work with analytics to create vendor actionable reports
  • Provide vendor relations manager and department leaders with weekly vendor scorecard
  • Locate qualified vendors as business needs dictate
  • Execute new vendor onboarding and initial training
  • Work with the training department to develop/modify needed vendor training
  • Assign out specific vendors to each vendor relations specialist. Provide in-depth coaching to vendor specialists on the current process
  • Coordinate with the Design Quality Training team to rollout onboarding and initial training for new vendor(s), as needed.
  • Activate and deactivate vendors to ensure that vendors meet IT Security Guidelines.
  • Manage vendor invoicing and PO processing with AP and Procurement to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Provide in-depth coaching to keep Vendors updated on the current process.
  • Hold vendors accountable to agreed-upon standards that impact invoiced rates.
  • Coordinate with department heads to confirm volume required and allocate accounts accordingly.
  • Work with Analytics to understand and communicate volume projections and distributions.
  • Coordinate quality control checks with the design team to ensure that deliverables are completed correctly.
  • Host regular and frequent meetings with vendors to review metrics, including formal Monthly Business Reviews.
  • Provide vendors with support virtually for feedback, discuss concerns, set goals and provide additional training as needed.
  • Create Salesforce reports to manage vendor quality, SLA and Volume expectations.
  • Perform special projects assigned by managers.
  • Coordinate regularly with Design Staff and Supervisors to improve Vendor Performance to support department Objective Key Results.
  • Handle and root cause account escalations caused by vendor quality issues. Communicate effectively and proactively with impacted departments, such as Branch Pipeline Management and Permitting, to work toward resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Adapt to workload changes with enthusiasm and curiosity
  • Knowledge of residential or commercial construction process;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with engineering, construction, and customer-facing teams;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Google Suite and Salesforce;
  • Proficiency in drafting using AutoCAD;
  • Residential Electrical and Structural experience preferred
  • Solar Industry experience preferred

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$76,415.98 to $101,887.97
