Overview

The Sr. Electrical Foreperson will provide leadership and technical expertise for a crew. The Sr. Electrical Foreperson is responsible for the Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity of each assigned project.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, lead, and train crews to complete projects within established guidelines and time-frames
  • Ensure attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and safety
  • Analyze and resolve worker problems and recommend solutions
  • Relate to the public and to customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their complaints
  • Work with up to 600 Volt Circuits
  • Roof and attic work required
  • Manages technicians who are on site to ensure they are following company and department policies and meeting production standards
  • Oversees the safety of the job site
  • Documenting and accurately reporting on each job
  • Provide appropriate training, positive and constructive feedback
  • Plan and layout the project including planned installation material take-off quantities and tool needs based on the project schedule

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess and maintain valid Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent per local and state requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
  • Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience successfully supervising projects with crews
  • Be able to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production
  • Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.)
  • Team player with acknowledging contributions by others

Physical Demands

  • Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
  • Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
  • Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces which requires kneeling and crouching
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
  • Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
  • Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work while wearing heavy protective equipment such as arc flash suits, gloves, and face shields
  • Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height
  • Ability to work in the sun and possibly low light conditions
  • Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
  • Ability to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white, green
  • Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings
  • Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protection

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$39.25 to $52.33
