Job Description

Success Academy Charter Schools is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Athletics Department as a Senior Associate or Associate for Travel Team Sports. This role will primarily focus on managing logistics related to scheduling, travel arrangements, rosters, attendance tracking, and medical clearance for student athletes participating in travel team sports. The successful candidate will report directly to the Athletic Director and work closely with coaches, staff, and families to ensure smooth operations of our travel sports programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Coordination:

    • Coordinate and manage the scheduling of practices, games, and tournaments for travel team sports.
    • Collaborate with coaches, league officials, and other schools to finalize game schedules and logistics.
    • Interface with various leagues, tournaments and events organizers to register teams and monitor schedules.
    • Familiarity with the use of sports management software is essential.


  • Travel Arrangements:

    • Arrange transportation, accommodations, and meals for athletes, coaches, and staff during travel for games and tournaments.
    • Ensure timely communication of travel itineraries and details to athletes, parents, and staff.


  • Rosters and Attendance:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date rosters for all travel teams.
    • Track attendance for practices, games, and other team events; follow up with absent athletes and coaches.
    • Help coordinate the schedule of coaches.


  • Medical Status and Clearance:

    • Monitor and update medical clearance records for student athletes participating in travel team sports.
    • Coordinate with parents, medical staff, and coaches to ensure all necessary health forms and clearances are obtained and up-to-date.


  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Serve as a point of contact for athletes, families, and staff regarding travel team logistics and scheduling.
    • Communicate effectively with coaches, Athletic Director, and school administrators to address any issues or concerns related to travel team operations.


  • Facility and Equipment Coordination:

    • Work with the Senior Associate, Sports Facilities and Equipment to ensure that facilities are available for practices and competitions.
    • Work with the Senior Associate, Sports Facilities and Equipment to ensure that equipment is ordered, provided, distributed, collected and inventoried.


  • Event Support:

    • Assist with on-site support during games, tournaments, and events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in athletics administration, particularly in managing logistics for sports teams, is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by the athletics schedule.

Physical Demands:

  • May involve frequent bending, moving, lifting and carrying material up to 50 pounds
  • Standing up to eight hours each day
  • Working in all weather conditions and exposure to high noise levels

Compensation Range
: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
