Stryker's Sports Medicine business delivers a wide range of innovative sports medicine implants, instrumentation, resection, advanced software technology, and biologic solutions. Your key responsibilities

  • You will be working in an international project team, developing complex medical software that supports the preoperative planning of hip arthroscopies.
  • Your main responsibility is the maintenance and further development of our "Hip Map Software," which maps the entire process from the examination of medical image data to automated processing and translates it into 3D computer models that form the basis for the subsequent design
  • You will support software execution teams, including ownership of architectural and detailed design, development of core technology blocks and pushing the leading edge of technology in the operating room.
  • You act as a crucial interface between internal departments to identify the individual user needs of your stakeholders, derive specific requirements, and assess technical feasibility.
  • You significantly influence image processing for preoperative planning, as well as data handling and computer vision, actively contributing to advancing the future of arthroscopy.
  • You partner with surgeons, marketing and technical leadership to create the software for the next generation of minimally invasive tools for our surgeons and patients.

What are we looking for?

  • You have successfully completed your studies in the field of computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or comparable.
  • You have several years of experience in software development with Windows Desktop Applications (Qt, C++).), ideally in a regulated environment.
  • You are experienced in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, debug, V&V.
  • Your excellent communication skills make it easy for you to communicate with different levels and establish and maintain long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Fluent English skills complete your profile.

Thanks to our flexible working hours model, you will have the opportunity to work partially from the home office. A regular presence on site at our location in Freiburg should always be given to build sustainable relationships and maintain personal contact with colleagues as well as the departments.
