What you will do
As the Sales Education Manager, you will be responsible for the ownership, strategy, and execution of the Acute Care new hire sales training program. You will develop course objectives, and partner closely with marketing and sales to develop content and facilitate training to drive sales results. You will look for opportunities to continuously improve current structure, as well as build additional courses and learning programs based on sales needs. The Manager, Sales Education, will manage and develop a team, and will be a subject matter expert and a consultant focused on driving sales education objectives within the Acute Care portfolio.
- Demonstrate product and sales expertise to design and execute sales education programs, including driving the training objectives and curriculum
Market Insight
- Benchmark education and training activities to determine best practices
Sales Process
- Evaluate various selling methodologies and incorporate best practices that improves educational curriculum
- Evaluate current sales education structure, and identify areas of opportunity and program growth
Sales Educational Programs
- Collaborates with sales and marketing leaders to design and facilitate educational programs
- Ensures alignment with business objectives
Program Design
- Utilize subject matter and educational expertise to develop and measure learning curriculum
- Develop new methods to increase learning effectiveness
- Ensures sales education programs align with business objectives and marketing/sales initiatives
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders
- Collaborate sales and marketing leadership to set direction on sales education objectives and content
- Manage and influence internal network
Project Management
- Analyze market/industry dynamics and evolving sales needs
- Identify opportunities that deepens training, accelerates learning and makes programs more efficient
Training Delivery
- Utilize and maximize sales education platforms, and identify opportunities to develop new courses and learning programs
Effectiveness Measurement
- Refine, develop and execute sales education strategies based on market insights and data/input following program execution
- Evaluate new technologies or resources that can enable more efficient or streamlined approaches
Strategic Vision
- Develop and drive Sales Education strategy & vision by anticipating sales needs and business priorities
- Directly involved in helping shape educational imperatives, strategy and focus for the organization
Budgets/P&L
- Manage Sales Education in accordance with P&L requirement
- Define plan and prioritize investments
- Collaborate with Finance partners and participate in budget planning process
Key Stakeholder Management (internal and external)
- Manage network as well as identify and develop "up and coming" thought leaders
- Create and execute department level VOC and stakeholder feedback strategy
Organizational Capabilities
- Direct and advise team and business partners to execute the divisional sales education strategy and programs
Brand Stewardship
- Articulate communication strategy based on impact of media channels
Communication Planning
- Define communication strategy in partnership with Marketing Communications and utilize most effective platform
What you need
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years of work experience required
- 5+ years medical device or Medical Education experience preferred
- 2+ years of people management experience preferred
