Position Summary

Responsible for leading the management and coordination of complex programs associated with Plant Network and Product Transfers. You will work closely with the various Functions/Franchises to prioritise Product Transfers and ensure alignment based on resource availability and business impact. Ensure all program activities will be completed and documented in accordance with the Stryker Product Transfer Processes and Governance utilising best in class program management tools, discipline and methodologies.

What you will do

  • Responsibility for overall program architecture and is measured by the implementation and fulfilment of a strategy and realization of benefits like growth, productivity or bottom line results. The Program Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering overall program objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Responsible for clear, objective and quantifiable measurement of program progress. Will utilize existing, but if required develop methods and systems for efficiently communicating program status.
  • Influence across the organization by building global relationships. Ensure business, quality and financial context is understood and represented in program design and decisions.
  • Participate in the selection, training and performance appraisal process of project resources. Lead shared Campus resources and deploy in line with program priorities. Mentor and coach Project Managers to deliver key program elements to schedule.
  • Responsible for identifying, monitoring, and appropriately managing project risk and liaise with broader team on common Product Transfer issues and resolutions.
  • Provide direction to team in complex or difficult situations, removing obstacles, assigning appropriate resources and interacting with other functions to assist with issue resolution and streamlining of work process.
  • Establish priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while following best practice Project Management methodology in project execution.
  • Provide high quality leadership of Project Resources. Encourage people to work collaboratively to reach decisions, while establishing an escalation process for disagreement as appropriate.
  • Assume overall responsibility for multiple projects within the overall program including business readiness deliverables and drive adherence to phase gate exit and overall project deadlines. Assign accountability and authority for decisions across the team.

What you will need

  • Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 6+ years' experience of managing programs in a highly regulated industry
  • PMI Certification or equivalent essential.
  • Demonstrated Leadership, Project Management and Engineering experience in Product Transfer and/or New Product Introduction in a regulated environment and a proven track record of utilising associated tools, disciplines and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to plan, organise and implement concurrent tasks. Ability to understand complex inputs and to be able to distil critical information.
  • Will have demonstrated ability to effectively apply Best in Class Program Management methods and tools.
  • Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry beneficial.
  • High level of PC Skills required with expertise in MS Project. (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Experience of MES/SAP, GD&T, Process mapping, statistical methods and process/ product validations would prove beneficial.
