Who we are looking for

As part of Global Treasury the candidate will assume an important role within the Capital and Liquidity Stress Testing team, primarily driving capital forecasting from a business-as-usual (BAU) and stress perspective. The candidate will lead CCAR stress testing for State Street, as well as build out and execute on a new quarterly stress testing framework focused on the interconnectedness between capital and liquidity. This includes collaboration with subject matter experts across functional teams within Global Treasury, Global Treasury Risk Management and business lines, understanding and implementing evolving regulatory requirements, and developing methodologies that test capital and liquidity risk for State Street.

What you will be responsible for

  • Lead the development of and enhancements to capital-related forecasting models for managing State Street's capital position for BAU and stress testing purposes, including coordination with our Model Validation, Audit, and Risk Oversight partners
  • Lead the development of a new quarterly stress testing framework, including the incorporation of liquidity assumptions, through collaboration with Global Treasury Risk Management and other key stakeholders
  • Lead coordination of timely CCAR and quarterly stress testing execution through partnership with our Program Management Office
  • Oversee BAU and stress testing execution processes by running forecasting models, analyzing the key drivers of results, communicating outcomes to senior stakeholders in management and regulatory bodies, and supporting the annual production of our Capital Plan
  • Lead presentations and other communications to facilitate management decision making at relevant working groups and to senior management
  • Understand key regulatory and business drivers of capital and liquidity management and decision making and their impact on overall Global Treasury and corporate wide risk metrics to facilitate continuous improvement across processes and to address complex regulatory challenges
  • Lead ad hoc assignments in support of capital and liquidity forecasting, with a focus on communication and coordination across relevant work streams and businesses to ensure cohesive and comprehensive delivery of results

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a related field (Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems)
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, including financial forecasting or modelling
  • Knowledge of financial markets and the banking regulatory environment
  • Demonstrated track record of financial analytics, modelling and quantitatively supporting management decision-making
  • Strong written, verbal communication and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, delegate team tasks while maintaining focus on priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to proactively resolve issues by working with other teams
  • Experience in preparing presentations for executive management and regulators
  • Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, innovative, a self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $185,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
