Who we are looking for

As an Account Executive in our Benelux Team you will focus on the institutional client segment in the Netherlands. In this role you will work our senior sales team in executing a strategic plan to help grow the business in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for expanding and developing the institutional Dutch client base and you will represent our investment solutions which range from fundamental and quantitative active management approaches aimed at maximizing outperformance to highly efficient indexing strategies designed to gain broad exposure to the world's capital markets. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

  • Strengthen and deepen the relationship with a portfolio of longstanding clients and build mutually beneficial relationships that are valuable for our clients and for SSGA
  • Establish and cultivate relationships at target organizations, initiate and lead interactions aimed at understanding the unique situation, challenges and expectations and work towards shaping investment solutions that meet those expectations, generating and reaping opportunities to grow business
  • Proactively lead and manage sales processes from prospecting to close, including leading generation, client meetings, prospect qualifications, RFP completion and deal negotiations
  • Participate in various industry events where appropriate - staying current on economic and market developments, investment trends and changes in Dutch regulatory landscape.
  • Using your technical and research skills, remain current on the competitor landscape, key differentiators and competitive advantages
  • Collaborate and build relationships with different internal teams: portfolio management, trading, ESG, asset stewardship legal, compliance, finance, product management

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4-7 years of industry experience (preferably in a sales/client facing role)
  • Masters degree in Business Administration, finance, law, economics or similar
