We are currently looking for an Assistant Vice President to manage the Company's new business and product risk assessment and adjustments process. The Manager would be responsible for the central coordination of the approval process of new business and product proposals and changes to existing products and services. This critical role requires close cooperation with various stakeholders across State Street and requires in-depth understanding of financial products and services offered by State Street.

Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

As SSBI NBPRA & Adjustment Processes Manager you will

  • Central coordination of the approval process of new business and product proposals, changes to existing products, internal transitions and post-implementation reviews on behalf of State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI), in cooperation with relevant proposal sponsors and responsible business/project managers
  • Close cooperation with relevant subject matter experts to ensure comprehensive impact analysis and review of business/product proposals and change requests across all business units and functions
  • Monitor status of proposals, implemented scope and resolution of open points and issues and provide senior management and other key stakeholders with relevant reporting
  • Own and maintain the SSBI Product Catalogue including the Product Catalogue Tool (Workflow Tool)

    • Act as the Committee Secretary for Development and Modification Committee (DMC), managing and owning the relevant governance documentation (policies, procedures, charter)
    • Own and maintain the DMC tool (Workflow tool), ensuring quick turnaround of proposals
    • Be the one point of contact for all audit requirements(Internal/ external) touching the New Product Process and Adjustment Process for SSBI
    • Oversight of the function's inbox Act as the central point of contact for any questions and provide input into related downstream processes, including strategic and financial plans and other deliverables
    • Manage cross-functional projects and ad hoc requests if and when required
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with local laws/regulation and Corporate Policy
    • Oversight for other team-members who will assist in the administrative aspects of the role.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Successfully completed Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Several years of experience in the banking or financial services sector, ideally some experience within the area of business/product development and/or in a regulated environment
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills in English, German knowledge beneficial
