Senior Software Engineer (multiple positions)(State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will provide engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support teams and other development teams within Charles River and will contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of one or more Charles River Investment Management Suite (IMS) modules, components and related applications as a member of an agile scrum team. Specific duties include: Designing, testing, and debugging small to medium software enhancements and solutions within the business and technical problem domains; Developing, testing, debugging, and implementing software programs, applications and projects using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript or other related software engineering languages; Writing unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality end product; Conducting manual tests to ensure a high-quality end product; participating in code reviews; Applying knowledge of and experience with object-oriented programming, data structures, compiler or interpreter technologies, operating systems, related databases, scripting and new/advanced technologies; and Actively participating in the agile software development process by adhering to the scrum methodology including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Full-time telecommuting from within the United States permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Minimum requirements: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; plus 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/title providing experience in professional software engineering. Alternatively, Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/title providing experience in professional software engineering.
Must have: Proven ability with the following: object-oriented programming, data structures, compiler or interpreter technologies, operating systems, relational databases (RDBMS), scripting and new/advanced programming languages; Demonstrated ability to work on small to medium sized projects with moderate supervision; Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills; Demonstrated ability to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment; Demonstrated ability working with an Agile development methodology; and Demonstrated solid ability with Java, SQL, scripting languages, and distributed computing. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking no specific number of years of experience, and all experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:
$157,650 - $190,000 Annual
