Who we are looking for

State Street Corporate Audit is looking for a versatile and talented business professional interested in progressing their knowledge, skillset, and career through challenging stretch assignments. The successful candidate will be responsible for audit coverage of the broader enterprise risk elements within State Street's UK, Ireland and International business. Reporting to the Enterprise Risk Management - Vice President, the successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with relevant key internal stakeholders. You will also provide expertise and leadership in this area and be responsible for corporate audit engagements that focus across these areas within the International remit. In this role you will be based out of London and will be able to work within a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Senior Audit Manager - Treasury, Liquidity and Capital, Vice President you will

  • Develop strong operational and regulatory subject matter expertise relevant to their areas of accountability (e.g., Risk disciplines Liquidity Risk, Capital Risk, Treasury and Finance).
  • Plan and execute in-depth risk assessments, process design reviews and operating effectiveness testing across Treasury, Liquidity and Capital risk.
  • Support the execution of a risk-based audit plan, review and approve audit work products to ensure thorough effective coverage and timely and effective escalation of issues and conclusions.
  • Influence effective and sustainable improvements to processes and controls through insights gained based on risk and control expertise.
  • Maintain effective partnerships with key senior leaders in the Treasury & Finance (International) organization by identifying potential control risks and gaps while development and implementation activities are underway.
  • Manage, coach and develop staff, including participating in the talent management, staff evaluation, and new hire processes.
  • Draft, review, finalize and communicate audit deliverables, including audit findings, memos and audit reports to senior and executive management.
  • Participate as a non-voting member of various ALCO sub-committees, management working groups, promoting balanced discussions and encouraging challenge and debate.
  • Prepare relevant risk and audit reporting to key stakeholders including executive management and governance committees.
  • Provide insight on the evolving regulatory environment and interact with regulators.
  • Stay abreast of industry matters and efficiently and effectively apply applicable new developments in audit projects.

  • Proven ability to research, interpret and apply regulatory requirements covering the UK, Ireland, and International locations.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferable in finance, accounting or related field; advanced degree or certification (see below) preferred.
  • CISA, ACA, CIA or other applicable certification preferred. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Finance, Alternative Risk functions and/or Business Administration is preferred but not essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry with knowledge of risk elements including operational, liquidity, model, credit, market etc.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial services or public accounting firms having work in financial services firms preferred.

Additional requirements

Some travel to other State Street locations may be required.
