What we are looking for:

Primary Job Responsibilities: The Policy Execution and Implementation Manager will be responsible for programs activities related to oversight of corporate policy implementation, and the central execution of policy programs. Policy programs include, but are not limited to, conflicts of interest, sensitive positions, inside information, personal investment policy, and risk and control self assessment. The ideal candidate should be a strong leader, with management experience, able to work independently, make decisions and prioritize multiple projects at the same time.

The role will support the members of the Business Risk team with ongoing management of various risk specific projects and collaborating with all Pillars of the team. The role would develop and maintain effective and positive relationships with risk partners (e.g., business risk advisory, operational risk management, compliance) and business partners (e.g., business unit leadership) globally.

A successful candidate will have prior governance or policy experience, strong analytical skills, knowledge of the financial services industry and a background in risk management. Candidates should also have strong written and verbal communication skills as well demonstrated success working in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various risk assessment programs, including the risk and control self assessment
  • Execute on corporate policies, including review and implementation
  • Oversee the governance and enforcement of policies owned by the supported corporate functions
  • Experience in Risk Management and Compliance or Operations
  • Attention to detail and dedication to the pursuit of data quality
  • Coordinate stakeholders across multiple locations and time zones
  • Provide direct support to business risk projects and activities across teams
  • Monitor project milestones and ensure project completion
  • Escalate appropriate risk matters to leadership
  • Analyze risk data, risk indicators and risk trends

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management, or a related field and 10 years experience ideally covering the following:
    • Project/Program Management
    • Corporate Policy Governance
    • Risk identification and assessment (Risk Excellence)

Skills/ Knowledge:

  • 10+ years work experience in risk, compliance, or audit
  • Deep understanding and appreciation of the internal control environment
  • Solid business knowledge as it relates to the financial services industry
  • Understanding of corporate policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), advanced levels of excel (pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices)
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Work in a fast paced, challenging environment with multiple and competing priorities
  • Must possess strong communication skills, including written, with ability to participate in or lead conference calls
  • Independent decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while meeting deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable and willing to take on new challenges
  • Intellectual curiosity and an enthusiasm for learning and for developing
