Who we are looking for

The Vice President of UK Sales position is a distribution role within the Portfolio Solutions organization and offers the opportunity for a sales professional to drive revenue across a collection of agency and outsourced businesses servicing asset managers and asset owners.

The Portfolio Solutions Group is one of four main vertical business lines within State Street Global Markets and our we focus on assisting clients in the following outsourced solution areas: Agency Brokerage, Outsourced Trading and Currency Management.

This successful person will report directly to the Global Head of Portfolio Solutions Sales

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Markets (SSGM). When owners and managers of institutional assets need research, trading, securities lending and innovative portfolio strategies, they turn to SSGM business unit. As our investment research and trading arm, SSGM's number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients' portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world.

What you will be responsible for

As the Vice President of UK Sales within Portfolio Solutions you will be responsible for

  • Building sales pipeline and converting prospects into client wins across a variety of outsourced solutions for both asset owners and asset managers in the UK
  • Driving revenue production in order to meet budgeted growth targets across existing mature businesses and new growth initiatives
  • Working across the Global Markets division in addition to the broader global services and asset management divisions to maximizing opportunities to provide our solutions to existing clients of State Street
  • Meeting and exceeding annual financial and non financial performance priorities and quantifiable metrics
  • Active contributions to the decision making process within the Portfolio Solutions management team utilizing client feedback on products and to be accountable for territory strategy in the UK tailored to specific client needs and for each type of product

  • Proven success within a large multi national organization
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships with key decision makers for our solutions including Chief Investment Officers, Chief Operating Officers, and Heads of Trading desks at both asset managers and asset owners
  • Ability to communicate feedback from clients and prospects back into the overall organization to improve delivery of solutions and improve the overall client experience

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required with preference
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in sales/client management capacities
  • CFA designation preferred but not required
  • FCA Registration
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM software package

Additional requirements

  • Up to 50% travel required primarily associated with client contact
