Operational Risk Senior Expert, Assistant Vice President, Hybrid

The role of the AVP Operational Risk Analyst is to support the Operational Risk Management program in State Street as part of Poland ERM. The role will focus on the Risk Oversight of the Poland Branch, by actively engaging in the second line of defense risk advisory. The activities will include interactions with the business, data and documents analysis, leading deep dive analysis related to Operational Risk events, formulating findings and recommendations, delivering presentations on trends, root causes, remediations to relevant risk forums (including executives). Role will also act as key SME and contributor to major projects impacting Operational Risk Management domains.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide variety of deliverables focusing on operational risk advisory, analysis (Losses, IDD, NAV errors)
  • Deliver risk analysis and presentations to variety of stakeholders (including business executives)
  • Collaborate with Business Partners globally and contribute to ORM interactions with regulators (FED, ECB, PRA,...)
  • Act as SME of Operational Risk events reporting in SSBT ICAMS system
  • Participate in Operational Risk Programs (MRI, RCSA, LERA, ICAAP SAOR, TRA) and actively contribute to dedicated local and global forums and initiatives
  • Influence areas of focus of Operational Risk Management methodology developments
  • Ensure data quality and timeliness of regulatory and internal Operational Risk reporting
  • Contribute to key strategic projects for Operational Risk Management #

Required Qualifications:

  • 6-7 years' experience in the financial services sector, or risk management
  • Very good, practical understanding of Operational Risk Management domain
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation delivery skills, including senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in project management roles is a plus
  • Experience working with and analyzing data
  • Ability to transform and visualize data
  • Problem solving, analytical skills and natural curiosity to understand processes and explore
  • Attention to details, timeliness & accuracy
