Who we are looking for
State Street's Alpha business unit is seeking an experienced Chief of Staff (CoS) to drive organizational effectiveness globally. You will build a deep understanding of Alpha products, services and business models, play a key role in driving strategic initiatives, and deliver on strategic goals in an evolving organization. This includes setting strategic direction through defining our multi-year plan and operating plan; driving accountability with clear goals, objectives, and metrics; driving results by executing key initiatives and delivering strategic insights; aligning the organization through effective communications; and ensuring the business unit is run effectively.

The Alpha Chief of Staff (CoS) supports the entire Alpha business globally, with a primary focus on supporting the Head of Alpha (who is a direct report of the State Street CEO and also a member of State Street's Executive Committee) and his team. The CoS will report into the Chief Commercial Officer of Alpha, and will also manage a dedicated team.

What you will be responsible for
The Alpha Chief of Staff (CoS) is responsible for managing a wide range of strategy and execution activities for the business, including:
• Facilitating annual strategic planning for building multi-year plan (3-year view) and operating plan (next-year view)
• Establishing clear goals and metrics (OKRs - Objectives and Key Results) for Alpha and overseeing their delivery
• Identifying and governing investments needed to grow Alpha and related hiring needs
• Identifying, prioritizing and quarterbacking range of strategic initiatives
• Leading materials for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with State Street's CEO, and for meetings with State Street's Executive Committee, State Street's Board of Directors, Investor Relations / Shareholders, Client Advisory Board and other groups
• Managing a team to oversee ongoing development and enhancement of Business Intelligence to facilitate executive decision making
• Managing Alpha staff meetings, including agenda, materials and follow-ups
• Driving budget management (w Finance); Managing employee performance and compensation planning processes (w HR); Leading Employee communications
• Implementing best practices, policies, and cross-Alpha initiatives aimed at creating organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and improved client experience
• Partnering with Corporate Groups and BU representatives to implement corporate-wide initiatives, policies and systems

• Ability to collaborate and work across multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with fintech, asset servicing and/or asset management a plus

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree minimum and graduate degree preferred
• 8-15+ years of related experience including 5-10+ years as part of a global leadership team

Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
