POSITION OVERVIEW
SEO Protégé, an initiative of the SEO Leadership Institute, draws on SEO’s track record of success in preparing and placing talent into college and career, but takes it one step further. Protégé facilitates relationships and connections between SEO alumni starting their careers and a senior-level advisor, or “Patron”.
We are seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of SEO Protege. The Program Manager is expected to partner with SEO leadership to cultivate professional mentoring relationships between senior executives and early career professionals. This role requires a highly motivated, strategic thinker with excellent relationship, project management and communication skills.
- Collaborate with SEO board members, alumni and staff to recruit mentors and mentees to participate in the SEO Mentoring.
- Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person events and training for program participants, including an annual ceremony.
- Make appropriate mentor-mentee matches and support their relationship building.
- Support the development of presentations, webinars, program materials, and assist with tracking of responses to surveys and other constituent inquiries.
- Work across departments to market the program, recruit participants, and facilitate successful events.
- Participate in the design of, and report on, program impact measures.
- Manage technical and administrative aspects of the program including training platforms.
- Apply rapid cycle improvement to each year and apply learnings to subsequent program years
- Track expenses, facilitate payment to vendors and forecast future expenses.
- Assist in creating various feedback surveys, information forms, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution required; advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience professional and leadership program development.
- Experience with program evaluation and measurement preferred.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Excellent people and project management skills, including staff development and partner management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to manage workflow independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, virtual meeting channels like Zoom and content databases.

The compensation listed in this posting reflects what SEO believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
