POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assistant Director, Operations, Data & Events is a highly organized and student-focused individual to enhance program operations, data management, and learning experiences for our participants. This role will ensure seamless workflows, maintain participant records, and leverage data-driven insights to improve student outcomes. Additionally, the role will oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) to provide an engaging and effective learning environment while supporting new initiatives to strengthen participant and alumni connections. Lastly, the role will oversee the execution of all events – whether virtual or in-person (except for AICON). The ideal candidate is passionate about student success, detail-oriented, and skilled at collaboration across teams.
Learning Management System (LMS) Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the LMS, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience for learners.
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison to technical teams and consultants as needed, and manage any activity related to the build, integration, and configuration of the program LMS.
- Manage the uploading, organization, and curation of digital learning content.
- Track learner progress, engagement, and feedback, and share regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects that enhance the overall participant experience.
- Perform additional duties to support the program’s mission and student success as needed.
Data Management & Analysis
- Develop and optimize workflows to enhance participant experiences throughout the program.
- Maintain and improve databases to accurately track participant progress, alumni engagement, and partner relationships.
- Analyze participant engagement data to identify opportunities for enhancing support services and career pathways.
- Provide timely reports and dashboards to highlight program effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Ensure process documentation is created, updated, and maintained as necessary.
Event Planning & Execution
- Implement and manage impactful pre-planned events to engage participants and alumni.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events and maximize attendance.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue coordination, speaker management, and technical support.
- Track event attendance and gather participant feedback to evaluate event effectiveness.
- Use event insights to improve future programming and the overall participant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (5-7 years of equivalent experience in a corporate environment) or a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Education, or Public Administration.
- Background in project and/or program management with a focus on using data to inform strategies for improving participant experiences.
- People management experience required.
COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Preferred working knowledge of financial services, especially in Alternative Investments or Investment Banking.
- Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Salesforce.
- Proficient in using cloud-based tools like MS365, Box, Monday.com, and advanced Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Tableau and other analysis tools.
- Passion for SEO: A deep curiosity about the barriers to entry for pre-professionals and a dedication to closing opportunity gaps.
- Creativity: The ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions grounded in evidence, driving continuous improvement.
