About SEO & Our History

SEO Scholars, New York City, is the organization’s founding program. Since our inception in 1963, SEO Scholars has been committed to providing public high school students with the resources and guidance necessary to gain admission to, and graduation from, the nation’s most competitive colleges and universities.

We began as a small mentoring program in New York City, and have since evolved into a free, rigorous, eight-year academic program that gets motivated students to and through college - with an 85% college graduation rate. Today, we serve ~1,000 high school students in NYC, and an additional 1,000+ students in colleges around the nation, attending schools in 30 different states. (Learn more here: SEO Scholars)
