TITLE: Sr. Test Engineer
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. Minimize confusion and time to resolve defects by analyzing scenarios, ensuring defects are well-documented and have all required diagnostic information, and driving defects to resolution. Review test cases to ensure they cover requirements and ensure optimal customer experience. Ensure test cases meet basic practices and industry standards. Set manual and automation test execution goals for the team and provide comprehensive reports to test leadership on the progress of these goals. Perform both back-end system and UI triage and troubleshooting when identifying defects. Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Perform quality audits across various functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement test plans designed to support new or existing business initiatives. Identify improvement opportunities (process/tools/duplication) and work with cross-functional teams to bring in testing efficiencies. Attend and contribute to Agile ceremonies of assigned development teams. Coordinate with distributed test teams, including offshore Test Team members. Mentor and coach testers and test junior engineers. Optimize the efficiency of testing using test methodologies Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall. Utilize software testing tools HP-ALM or TestRail within the context of the software development lifecycle. Define automation strategy and implement automation framework. Confirm the flow of data utilizing database schemas including SOLO and querying tools including SQL. Assess root cause of automation failures.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 5 years of experience utilizing test methodologies Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall to optimize the efficiency of testing; and experience utilizing software testing tools HP-ALM or TestRail within the context of the software development lifecycle. 2 years of experience defining automation strategy and implementing automation framework. 1 year of experience utilizing database schemas including SOLO and querying tools including SQL Developer to confirm the flow of data; and, assessing root cause of automation failures. Employer will accept pre-and post- bachelor's degree experience. *Hybrid (office and remote) work arrangement is available.
