How You'll Make an Impact

  • Work with senior leaders to shape the go-forward vision for the organization, drive thought leadership, business focus, and innovation across the organization
  • Drive roadmaps to meet business goals, work with vendors and partners on the successful strategy, planning, and implementation of critical tooling and platforms
  • Demonstrate strong technology roadmap influence within the organization to meet business goals; evaluate new technologies for adoption across the enterprise
  • Attract, develop and motivate top talent; teach, mentor, grow, and advise other domain experts; mentor senior engineers on how to grow their careers and expand their sphere of influence
  • Understand and articulate the value creation and business proposition to teams and functional partners
  • Participate in and lead learning activities within the organization
  • Promote and facilitate collaboration within teams and across organizations and connect teams facing similar challenges and problems to encourage consistency
  • Attend conferences to learn and apply new technologies and demonstrate technical industry leadership through speaking engagements and publications.
  • Motivate and mentor more junior engineers to become the natural technology leader of the organization
  • Promote customer focus thought-out technology roadmaps; field questions from product, project, and support teams
  • Evangelize successful usage of tooling and technologies across the organization and enterprise
  • Actively engage in industry innovation and direction by learning new technologies and best practices through reading, tutorials, networking, and videos.
  • Final escalation points for technology issues across organizations

What You'll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications
  • Education
    • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Experience
    • 16+ years of engineering work experience
    • 16+ years of project management work experience
    • Extensive industry experience in network architectures, and technologies
  • Skills
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and effectively communicate complex problems in a simple and effective manner
    • Ability to perform duties in a very fast-paced environment, learn new technology quickly, and self-study new technologies
    • Ability to create a business case encompassing business and technology requirements
    • Ability to communicate technology to non-technical senior business leaders
    • Expert knowledge in network/platform/system design, architectures, protocols and relevant topologies, TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6 and the OSI Model, network devices, network applications and servers
    • Demonstrated some telecommunication industry leadership
    • Self-driven individual with the ability to deliver major projects with minimal supervision

    • Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.)

The base pay for this position generally is between $155,430.00 and $275,990.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
