Data Developer - Spectrum Reach

JOB SUMMARY

The Developer creates and developes stories from start to finish that support the completion of features for Spectrum Reach products and applications. Their main duties include understanding their part of each feature, creating the stories, developing the stories, testing the stories, documenting the contribution made to the appropriate Confluence pages and deploying to the production environment. The Developer will be an active participant in PI planning, and scrum team. They'll collaborate closely with their product owner to ensure the featuress meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients. The developer will work with their team to ensure the feature completion is tested and ready for production deployment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ETL development and maintenance experience
  • Successfully complete features in the product backlog.
  • Knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Strong experience SQL Development
  • Develop database design and architecture documentation
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work in a team and on individual tasks
  • Understanding of design quality standards
  • Develop optimized SQL to address adhoc issues.
  • Utilize SQL and Python for development for automation data integration processes.
  • Perform data profiling to insure efficient and accurate delivery of data.
  • Writing testable, scalable and efficient code
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of the general subject matter being developed from a technical and functional standpoint


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in SQL query development and performance
  • Proficiency in Agile processes.
  • Proven hands-on experience working in all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Ability to stick to timelines and measure progress during development.
  • Working knowledge on the operation of SQL, or other ETL tools
  • Experience in developing in SQL, Python
  • Experience with data warehouse architecture
  • Demonstrated skills with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Proven ability and desire to learn and apply current technology to data solutions
  • Good knowledge of software development and other relevant technologies.

Education

BS degree in Information Technology; MBA, MIS or equivalent preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Experience in Snowflake

Cloud

Business Intelligence Developer certification or equivalent knowledge

Related Work Experience

Data warehouse responsibilities

Data warehouse business and development

Media business operations experience may be applicable
