Job Summary
The (Mechanical) Engineering Technologist II is an experienced individual contributor position responsible for solving a variety of moderately complex technical problems. The incumbent must apply a broad knowledge of accepted design principles and techniques
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Prototype proof of concept designs
- Fabricate complex test stands
- Set up and perform detailed mechanical test
- Assist in basic solid works design
- Review solid works design
- Read complex component drawings
- Participate in brainstorming complex solutions for design
- Assist in work instruction development
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, License and Certifications
- Associate Degree in engineering or equivalent scientific discipline, and 5-8 years of experience. Incumbents should possess solid knowledge in design, as well as good knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Solid works
- Machining (machine shop)

Skills and Abilities
- US Citizenship
- Must possess or be able to acquire a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
